Suessical the Musical

The Suessical was a great show of the whole fine arts program performing as one telling the story of how imagination and creativity are the building blocks for success. From the dancers to their high kicks, and the singers and high notes, and our great actors with their sense of improvising whenever something went wrong. The Suessical tells the story of Horton protecting the city of Who and Jojo with his sense of imagination and creativity. In this performance, the high school students were not the only actors. The kids from McAdams Junior High had a role and the baby bird-elephant was Ms. Powell’s daughter. “We have worked hard on this show and it is a children’s show so its light-hearty and fun to entertain the crowd no matter the age,” was said my Maximilliano Estudios, an actor who played the role of the Cat in the Hat. If you were at Mondays performance then there was a big crowd, to the crowds response of laughter and awes, and a spectator said “the performance was great, I was really impressed and can’t wait to come back next year if they have another musical.” After the performance, the actors came outside in the foyer and guests were able to take pictures with the actors in their costume. The Suessical was Dickinson’s first musical in a long time but after seeing this performance; we expect to see more throughout the years to come.

Looking at this kid, most of you may think “Oh, he’s just another Justin Bieber.” But I suggest you give him a chance. He’s got the same dreamy teenage voice as the Biebs, but his songs are a little different. Instead of wanting to just sway to the music, his new song “Say Somethin” makes you want to get up out of your chair and dance. This guy is quickly taking over, wooing teenage girls all over the country. Even his Youtube video cover of Justin Bieber ‘s song “Mistletoe” had more views than the original. He’s going to be a pop sensation so keep him in mind. And while you’re at it, jam this song. It’ll bring your spirits up for sure!
